Irvine, California


Irvine is an affluent city in Orange County, California developed as a planned city by the Irvine Company. The 66 square mile community was incorporated in 1971 and has a population of approximately 260,000. The City of Tustin is to the north, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, and Mission Viejo are to the east, and Newport Beach is to the south and west. Laguna Coast Wilderness Park is to the south of Irvine.

Agua Chinon Creek

Agua Chinon Creek starts in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains and flows approximately eight miles where it merges into San Diego Creek near the Verizon Amphitheatre in Irvine. The headwaters of Agua Chinon Creek cover more than 1,200 acres within the Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.
