Point Dume State Beach

Point Dume is a promontory on the coast of Malibu that extends out into the Pacific Ocean. The northwestern most point of Point Dume has been designated a California State Preserve, the Point Dume State Beach. From that point, visitors can view Santa Catalina Island and Palos Verdes Peninsula. The Normandy landings of the film D-Day the Sixth of June were filed at Point Dume as have many other movies.  Zuma Beach is to the west of Point Dume State Beach.
