Santa Ana, established in 1869, is the county seat and the second most populous city in
Orange County, California. The population is approximately 345,000 making it the 11th largest city in California. The
City of Orange is to the north of Santa Ana.

Santa Ana River
The Santa Ana River is the largest river in Southern California originating rising in the Santa Ana Canyon in the southern San Bernardino Mountains in San Bernardino County at an elevation of 6,991 feet. It then flows through Riverside County, Los Angeles County and Orange County into the Pacific Ocean at Huntington Beach. The 96 mile long river flows past the cities of San Bernardino, Riverside, Anaheim, Santa Ana, and Huntington Beach. Tributaries include Bear Creek, the San Jacinto River, Lytle Creek, Warm Creek, City Creek, Day Creek, Santiago Creek, Mill Creek, San Timoteo Creek, and Temescal Creek.
Santa Ana Zoo
The Santa Ana Zoo is located at Prentice Park in Santa Ana which is the county seat of Orange County, California. The zoo is located on 20 acres and is owned and operated by the City of Santa Ana. The zoo features more than 80 species of animals and always has at least 50 monkeys. The focus of the Santa Ana Zoo is recreation, education, and conservation. It is a great place for the entire family.
Discovery Cube Orange County
The Discovery Cube Orange County, formerly called the Discovery Science Center and also known as the Discover Museum of Orange County, is a first class science museum located in Santa Ana, California. The museum is famous for its ten story solar array cube visible from the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5). The museum has more than 100 science exhibits designed for children. It is an excellent place to visit for both children and adults.
The Bowers Museum, established in 1936, is located in Santa Ana, California. The museum offers exhibitions, lectures, travel programs, children’s programs, and art classes for all age groups. The museum houses more than 100,000 objects focusing on culture from all over the world. Bowers Museum has established partnerships with the Smithsonian, the Shanghai Museum, the Nanjing Museum, and the British Museum.
River View Golf Club
River View Golf Club in Santa Ana features an 18 hole golf course, a driving range, an 18 hole putting course, a pro shop, and a restaurant. Several of the holes are adjacent to the Santa Ana River which flows from the nearby mountains to the Pacific Ocean.
North Orange County Chinese School
North Orange County Chinese School, established in 1986, is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to enhance, cultivate, and promote Chinese culture within the local communities and to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Chinese language. North Orange County Chinese School is located in Villa Park and serves all of northern Orange County.

Santa Ana Memorial Park is a 17 acre community park featuring basketball courts, volleyball courts, handball courts, four lighted baseball fields, a football-soccer field, an outdoor stage, picnic areas, barbeques, and lots of green open space with shade trees.
