Santa Paula, incorporated in 1902, is a city in central Ventura County approximately 14 miles east of Ventura and 65 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Valley are to the east. Santa Paula is known as the Citrus Capital of the World. The population is nearly 30,000. The local economy is based primarily on agriculture which includes oranges, lemons, strawberries, and avocados. Santa Paula was the initial location for the headquarters of the Union Oil Company. The former headquarters building, built in 1890, is now the California Oil Museum, a popular tourist attraction.

The Santa Paula Airport, established in 1927, is a 51 acre privately owned, public use airport located approximately two miles south of Santa Paula. The airport serves privately owned aircraft and currently offers no commercial service. The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula is located at the airport. The Peterson Auto Museum, which is located in Los Angeles, has its Ferrari collection displayed at the Santa Paula Airport.
Aviation Museum of Santa Paula
The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula is a non-profit corporation and museum, located at the historic Santa Paula Airport in Ventura County. The primary purpose of the museum is to provide facilities and displays for the education of visitors, including children, and to encourage the enjoyment of aviation. A main focus of the museum is on aviation history. Many unique aircraft are on display. The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula is definitely worth visiting. Hours are limited.

Santa Paula Hospital (SPH), founded in 1961, located in Santa Paula, California, is a campus of the Ventura County Medical Center located in Ventura. SPH has 49 beds and more than 150 employees. SPH offers emergency services, maternity services, surgery, radiology, intensive care, and more. The hospital is owned by the County of Ventura.
Santa Paula Art Museum
The Santa Paula Art Museum is a non-profit membership organization, governed by a board of directors, dedicated to preserving Santa Paula's artistic heritage including the famous Santa Paula Art Collection, and to educate and engage the community through collection, exhibition, and programing. The museum is located in the historic Limoneira Building is downtown Santa Paula, next to the California Oil Museum.
Agriculture Museum - Santa Paula
The Agriculture Museum is a non-profit museum organization located at 926 Railroad Avenue in downtown Santa Paula across from the Train Depot. The museum offers various exhibits, programs, and events that tell the story of how Ventura County, including Santa Paula, became one of the greatest producers of agricultural products in the United States. It is definitely worth visiting.
Santa Paula Historical Society
The Santa Paula Historical Society, founded in 1977, maintains historical materials that are made available for research projects and exhibitions. The society has collected more than 1,000 valuable photographs and has obtained many oral histories from the pioneers of Santa Paula. Memberships are available and donations are greatly appreciated.
Santa Paula Historic Residential Areas
The Santa Paula historic residential areas include Victorian and Queen Anne architectural styles that were popular in the late 1800s. There are also Colonial Revival and Craftsman style homes in the area. Most of the historic homes have been fully restored and were built between1885 and 1930. The homes are located throughout Santa Paula.
Santa Paula Peak
Santa Paula Peak is a summit in Ventura County with an elevation of 4,911 feet. The mountain is located directly north of Santa Paula in the Los Padres National Forest. Ojai is to the west and Fillmore is to the southeast.
Toland Regional Park
Toland Regional Park is a 212.7 acre undeveloped, rural park in Santa Paula, California which is in Ventura County. The gently sloped park is available for picnics, hiking, and wilderness exploration. Restrooms, picnic tables, and barbeques are available. There are no campgrounds at Toland Regional Park. The surrounding views of the mountains are quite beautiful.

The Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce serves the business community in Santa Paula and Ventura. The chamber offers many networking and educational opportunities.
The Chumash People established the villages of Mupu and Srswa more than one thousand years ago. These villages became the original community of Santa Paula.
Santa Paula Theater Center
The very popular Santa Paula Theater Center, established in 1985, produces several stage shows each year and offers acting classes for both youth and adults. The Santa Paula Theater building is absolutely beautiful. It was declared a Ventura County Landmark in 1982 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The building is a prime example of Shingle Craftsman style architecture.
Santa Paula Citrus Festival
The Santa Paula Citrus Festival is an annual event sponsored by Santa Paula’s Kiwanis Club to raise funds for various youth organizations. The annual festival includes a great carnival, food, crafts, games, music, dancing, exhibits, and much more.
Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center
The Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center (SPARC), established in 2011, is a non-profit no-kill animal shelter in Santa Paula which is in Ventura County. SPARC is actively saving precious lives by rehabilitating and finding homes for animals. To accomplish their mission, they are dependent on donations.
