Six Flags Magic Mountain


Six Flags Magic Mountain is a large, 262 acre amusement park located in Valencia which is a community in the City of Santa Clarita in northern Los Angeles County. The Santa Clarita Valley amusement park opened in 1971 as Magic Mountain and was purchased by Six Flags Entertainment Corp. in 1979. Six Flags holds the world record for the most roller coasters in any amusement park, currently having 19. Six Flags is a major employer in the Santa Clarita Valley and a significant contributor to the local economy. Six Flags is approximately 25 miles northwest of Downtown Los Angeles, 43 miles northeast of Ventura, and 26 miles north of Encino in the central San Fernando Valley.
