University of the West


University of the West, founded in 1990, is also commonly known as UWest. The university is a private, non-profit institution located on a 10 acre campus in the city of Rosemead which is in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County. While UWest was founded by a Buddhist organization, the university does not require students to subscribe to Buddhism. The university offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in business administration, psychology, religious studies, Buddhist chaplaincy, English, and English as a second language. Enrollment is approximately 400.
